Ellis Park was founded in 2021 in Sumatra Indonesia by Femke den Haas, Warren Ellis and Lorinda Jane. The main focus at the park is to care for animals that have been injured through the devastating illegal pet trade. The residents of Ellis park, including Rina the pig tailed macaque with no arms and Trinity the Gibbon with one arm and one leg, both are too injured to be released back in the wild and so they will be cared for at Ellis park for the rest of their lives.
Since hearing Warren Ellis speak about the park on the radio I have supported it through donations. When I thought about offering remembrance trees on my site I decided to link with Ellis park.
"Plant a fruit tree at the Ellis Park Wildlife sanctuary in the memory of a loved one.
Your remembrance tree will include the name of your loved one on site.
Once your tree has been planted we will send you a certificate with a photograph of your tree.
Your remembrance tree will help feed the disabled wildlife in our care."
